个人简介:

周强博士、教授,博士生导师,中组部“千人计划”入选者。周强教授的主要研究领域之一是真核及艾滋病基因转录调控机制研究。近年,真核及艾滋病基因转录延伸调控研究的突破性进展,大多得益于对正性转录延伸因子(P-TEFb)功能的研究。周强教授有关P-TEFb功能及其活性调控的分子和信号机制方面的研究,使该领域得以将基因的全局性调控与细胞生物学功能调节紧密结合。在Science、Nature、Genes & Development、Molecular Cell、EMBO J、PNAS等国际主流权威刊物上,以第一或通讯作者身份共发表了数十篇相关科学论文。其中4篇被Faculty of 1000收录为推荐参考和阅读的文献。除在科学刊物上发表研究论文之外,周强教授以其原创性发现获得美国专利2项。曾获国家基金海外杰出青年基金、美国癌症协会初级研究员奖、美国陆军乳腺癌研究计划的博士后奖学金、Hellman Family Faculty Award、The Schubert Family Assistant Professorship、The Biological Sciences Award from the Faculty Research Fund 等多项荣誉。被评为执教美国大学35强的中国大陆学子之一。并为美国NIH分子与细胞生物学基金评委会常务评委;多种国际权威刊物的编委或审稿人;Novartis疫苗与诊断公司科学顾问。

教育背景:

1986年 毕业于中国科技大学,获得生物学学士学位;

1992年 在加州大学洛山矶分校获得分子生物学博士学位;

1993-1996年 在麻省理工大学做博士后研究;

1997-2002年 任加州大学柏克利分校分子与细胞生物学系助理教授,

2002-2007年 任加州大学柏克利分校分子与细胞生物学系副教授,

2007年起 任加州大学柏克利分校分子与细胞生物学系教授。

2006年 受聘为厦门大学闽江学者讲座教授

2010年 入选中组部“千人计划”

2011年起 任厦门大学药学院教授
