Prof. Dr. Ying Wang joined Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 2024. He had over 30 years’R&D experience at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) in Switzerland. He has focused on the new drug discovery with natural products from genetic resource, including hits/leads/drugs discovery from microorganisms, medicinal plants and marine organisms; synthetic biology, metabolomics and biotransformation of natural products; development of automated and miniaturized techniques and platforms in laboratory; interdisciplinary and cross functional project management in new drug research and development process; compliance of UN Convention on Biological Diversity/Nagoya Protocol in genetic resource research.
